Sea Kayaker’s Mission to Save our Sea’s from Plastics!

Posted on Sunday 26th February, 2017

Dimitri Vandepoele is a sea kayaker from Belgium -  he is often confronted with the marine litter that pollutes our seas. Mostly he recovers balloons, Styrofoam, fishing nets, toys (especially during the summer months), plastic bags and tin cans but he often discovers much larger items!
Dimitri is hoping that others will join him in this mission to collect garbage, and to put it where it belongs; in the bin! Although Dimitri knows he is not alone in this mission but he also knows there’s a lot of work to be done - not only in collecting the rubbish but in changing humanities mindset to consumerism and waste disposal.
Dimitri collated this footage in order to highlight the problem that most people don't see or understand!
We have to take care of our sea's - they are full of life and beauty.
Please consider the amount of plastic we use in our daily lives and how you dispose of it.
